Casement windows
Sash windows

Painting casement windows:

1. Place masking tape along sides of panes.

   
2. Paint top edges, bottom edges and sides of hinged sashes.
3. Paint window bars
4. Paint transoms.
5. Paint jambs.
6. Paint frame.

7. Make sure paint is dry before closing window.

Painting sash windows

  1. Place masking tape along the sides of the panes.
  2. Paint top edge, bottom edge and sides, if possible, of casement.

3. Raise outer casement and lower inner casement.
3. Paint bottom of inner casement.
4. Reverse casement position and paint top of inner casement.
5. Paint outer casement.
7. Paint frame.
8. Paint sill.

9. Wait for paint to dry before closing window.
