  • Hot water
  • Insecticide sprayer
  • Scouring sponge or stiff bristled brush
  • High-pressure washer
  • Rubber boots and gloves
  • Protective goggles
  • Polyprep Cleaner with active oxygen 771-135 (liquid) or 771-136 (powder)
  1. Add 60 grams of cleaner per liter of warm water.
  2. Apply solution to surface with an insecticide sprayer, starting from the bottom to prevent runs.
  3. Rub surface vigorously and let solution work for 2 to 3 minutes. Make sure it doesn’t dry.
  4. Rinse surface with a power washer using clean water. Make sure pressure is no greater than 3400 kPa (500 lbs./sq. in.) to prevent damage to wooden surfaces. Keep nozzle within 30 cm of surface for best results.
  5. Repeat as needed.
  6. Let surface dry thoroughly for 2 to 3 dry sunny days before painting. Surface moisture content should be less than 12%.
