Lengthy winter storms have directed me to countless recluse days filled with research and creation. It’s a new years dream to have spring come soon, every minute, day, month spent as a hermit within my own space has strengthened the allure of redesigning the studio apartment environment for those almost forgotten sunscreen worthy days to come.

Starting a new spring summer in 2015, every other trend spotting, tracking or creating website now provides there own versions of what’s cool or what you need to be fresh.

However I do stand to witness my western world in its transformation and complete embrace of integrated technology. I have become incredibly accustom to controlling most exterior forces with my phone, the physical connection with this ever expanding source of information and it has become all accessible with my over developed thumbs and a remote.

So as I combine these two notions of fresh spring and fresh tech, I cant help but think that I am also witness to a time where my design sensibilities and style are flooded with seven billion other options and opinions, cooperating with the other billions from eras past and there ever expanding combinations. Trends have always been this way, with balance of past and present, new and old or vintage and retro, but now our exposure rate to these visuals is every day through the use of Internet.

Trend setting is my own, technology has giving birth to more self identity, pulling from what ever floods my world, weather that be homes that now my location, readjusting the ambience based on my mood, or rocking chairs that use my movement to power my reading light or charge my phone. My tendencies in 2015 is to give technology a warm welcome and allow for the new growth ahead.

This year will be the over-stimulating time to have endless resources ideas at my fingertips for re creating the spaces I inhabit. 2015 is a time for amalgamation, allowing for fresh ideas and new technologies to surface allowing for more days in the sun preparing for those long winter months of creation.
