Getting cozy by the fireplace

We can’t deny that fireplaces have a very romantic and welcoming nature; it’s the warmth and cozy ambience they provide that makes them perfect for the cold fall and winter months.

Now that winter has arrived, it’s no surprise if our thoughts circle around warm drinks like apple cider and pumpkin lattes, chunky layers, woolen campfire socks, and curling up with cozy blankets and slippers by the fire.

We can’t deny that fireplaces have a very romantic and welcoming nature; and while they make a great focal point and décor statement, it’s the warmth and cozy ambience they provide that makes them perfect for the cold fall and winter months.

Once the light starts fading and the darker evenings arrive, spending an evening around a fireplace with great music, food, drinks, and of course the company of loved ones, could not sound any better. After all, can you think of a better remedy for the winter chills? Grab some warm woolen or faux fur throws and make sure you have a tray in reach with your favourite snacks and beverages, and you have the perfect recipe for a wonderful evening at home!

Since the Holidays have arrived, make sure you decorate around it. Place candles, glass bowls filled with apples, pinecones, or ornaments, and even a draped garland across the mantel for a festive twist. You could also try hanging a wreath on the centre, and for a rustic Holiday feel, place long-needle evergreen branches on the mantel and hang your plaid stockings.

What sounds more enticing than spending the evening snuggled up with a cup of hot chocolate or tea contemplating the beauty of a warm fire? If you own a fireplace, make sure to get the most out of it this season. Whether you sit down to contemplate its beauty or gather your closest friends for an entertaining evening, nothing’s cozier than a fireplace during this season.
